CygnusAir

One of the first airlines of Spain, CygnusAir is an air carrier with broad experience in the aviation sector. The company holds an Air Operator Certificate, issued by AESA (Spain’s State Agency for Air Safety). In addition to this operating license focused on the operation in Europe, it holds other important licenses, such as the FAR part 129, which allows it to operate to and from the US.

CygnusAir’s main activity is the operation of its two cargo aircraft through leasing contracts such as the Wet Lease or through cargo charter flights, subjected to demand. All these operations carried out under maximum safety conditions.

We also have the approval to be an EASA 145 maintenance organization, which allows us to carry out online maintenance.

In its beginning CygnusAir belonged to the Gestair Group (1994), under the name of Regional Líneas Aéreas and thus became the first Spanish airline company devoted to regional aviation. Currently, our company operates charter and regular cargo flights for major companies within the air freight field, such as TNT or IAG Cargo.

Main Services

Thanks to the vast experience of its staff, CygnusAir can offer various high quality services within the field of aviation, always seeking the best option for our client.

CygnusAir offers the option of leasing of one of our aircraft, including crew, maintenance and insurance. CygnusAir carries out the operation of the aircraft and the customer is in charge of marketing its flights.

Having certificates as AOC or FAR part 129, our aircraft can operate anywhere in the world, covering any connection line.

Depending on the availability of our fleet, CygnusAir offers charter cargo services to any part of the world, always seeking the best route for the client.

New airlines that need to prepare and obtain an AOC have in CygnusAir an ally to develop an analysis and study of the necessary steps in order to get an air operator certificate and the different approvals and licenses necessary to start operating with aircraft.

CygnusAir offers the possibility to operate any type of aircraft which meets the necessary safety requirements, under the AOC of our company. This way, it opens the market for European flights to already consolidated companies that do not belong to the EU, offering flexibility and low cost to the implementation of the routes.

For companies that are in the process of being created, this possibility of flagging aircraft offered by CygnusAir allows them to start operations in a short period of time, which can be used to process their own AOC. They can use this operation under CygnusAir AOC as background when forming their airline and as an experience-gaining framework for their own staff. At all times CygnusAir facilitates the client’s departure of our AOC as soon as it is able to operate the routes by itself; some support services can be maintained at the client’s request.

If the business of the company is not the air operation but this is a necessary tool for its economic activity, it could save itself the creation of an AOC through this service offered by CygnusAir, avoiding extra costs and complexities inherent to the air operation.
