Renovation of Drinking Water Supply Network.

In the framework of the “Plan for the Renewal and Adaptation of Drinking Water Supply and Distribution Networks 2015-2019” carried out by the I + D + i Subdirectorate of ISABEL II GESTIÓN CHANNEL, imesAPI has been awarded four contracts covering the Works of renovation of the Networks of several Municipalities of the north of Madrid.

Specifically they are the localities of Hoyo de Manzanares, Las Rozas and Robledo de Chavela. The works include the replacement of the old distribution network, composed in some of its sections by elements of fiber cement and ductile iron and other elements whose replacement is considered as a priority to ensure non-interruption of supply.

The execution of the works will be undertaken in such a way that the affection to the users is minimal. They will be undertaken in a large part by hand, since the number of own and external services in the area of ​​action are numerous and very sensitive. It is a network of pipes from 80mm to 500mm in diameter with a total length of about 9,000 ductile iron with corresponding connections, hydrants and valving.

The expected execution time is between 150 and 180 days. The total amount of the four lots is 3.4 Million Euros. In the last year, the Hydraulic Works group of the Central Delegation has executed for the ISABEL II CHANNEL works of potable water distribution networks for more than 20,000m in urban areas.
