It’s been nearly 30 years since TRAFIURBE carried out its first work of road signs. Associated industries have grown due to new design concepts, new products and the application of new quality control standards. All of this has contributed positively to increasing safety on our roads and improving aesthetics and safety in our cities.
Trafiurbe can boast of having played an important role in this evolution, in particular with the introduction of new products in the national market, in addition to being pioneer in the introduction of water soluble ink.
Trafiurbe is also a founding member of AFESP, the Portuguese Association of Industrialists and signaling contractors, and participates in its governing bodies.
In 2010, it obtained the ISO 9001: 2008 certification of its Quality Management System, for the manufacturing of vertical-mounted traffic signing, road marking and Supply and Installation of Road Safety Equipment.
Recently, in 2014, it was the first Portuguese company to obtain the CE mark for the Vertical Production of Traffic Signals, under the standard EN 12899-1: 2007.
